Jun 4 (2.5 day) Offshore
Good evening,
We saw some incredible sign of bluefin today, but it was very difficult to get a bite. We managed to catch a few on lures when we got on scene here last night. But today has been very tough catching.
We’re hoping for some action tonight. The fish we’re seeing are 20-200lbs.

Jun 2 (2.5-day) Offshore
Good morning,
We got into an area of fish at about 4am and got a few bluefin on the flat falls. We started seeing less and less sign of fish later in the morning, however but we see them now. They’re floating and we’re able to board a few up. These are 50-100lb fish and we’re hooking them mostly on sinker rigs and a few on artificial lures.

Good evening,
We scratched up a couple handfuls of 90lb bluefin on the sinker rigs and the lures this afternoon just like this morning. We saw an incredible sign of fish all day today they just were not in the right mode for daytime catching. We’re hoping they want to bite tonight.

Jun 1 (2.5-day) Offshore
Hello anglers:
We spent a LONG day today looking at fish of all sizes, and not getting the bites we were hoping for. We managed to boat a few trophies on the sinker rig.
Not very good day for catching, but plenty of signs of fish out here.

May 29 (3-day) Memorial Day
Good morning anglers,
Wer’e drifting today isntead of driving around all day and night, so it’s a better day!
We couldn’t find the spots up we saw in the afternoon yesterday when the sun went down. So we relocated to a different zone and caught a couple 50lbers last night. This morning all we see is big ones and they’re are biting.
The fish are 80-180lbs and we haven’t caught one under 100. They’re all coming on the sinker rigs. They’re very hard to catch and we’re losing a lot of them at the moment.
If you are coming on an upcoming trip, make sure you bring a rail rod and large 2-speed reel with 80-100lb.
Captain Mike and the boys
Good evening anglers,
We plunked on these big fish all afternoon. They bit all day today, and though it was better in the morning, we were still seeing them and getting bites in the afternoon.
Lots of heartbreaks today, lots of opportunity. A sinker rig on 80lb was the go-to outfit for best success. Any fish we hooked on 60lb, ended up getting away. These fish are no joke. We tried a few schools in the dark before heading home, but our anglers are exhausted, so we’re going to call it and end on a high note here.

May 28 (3 day) Memorial Day Weekend
Good morning anglers,
Last night we had some phenomenal fishing on 20-30lb bluefin tuna on the flat falls. They bit all night long, and the anglers who stayed up and wanted to catch ’em did a nice job.
We’re trying to find some larger models for today and tonight.
Captain Mike and the boys
Good evening anglers,
We had a long day today. We didn’t see much until late afternoon. But we started seeing some incredible sign of 100-200lb fish late in the day. We managed to capture one and it was a good one, right around 160lbs. We are seeing this larger fish again after sunset.
Hoping for a big night tonight.

May 26 (2.5 day) Offshore fishing
Good morning,
We had one opportunity last night on these bluefin on the flat falls. At around midnight they pulled a dissapearing act, so we relocated down the coast and are starting to see large schools of mixed grade (25-150lbs). They aren’t cooperating at the moment, maybe this afternoon.
Captain Mike and the boys
Good evening,
We have been scratching away at these bluefin all afternoon. We’ve had stops for 1-5 fish on fly lined baits, sinker rigs, and colt snipers. Pretty incredible amount of fish around at the moment. We’re not seeing it as the sun sets but we’re going to fish a little tonight and until we have to go home.

May 25 (2.5 day) Offshore fishing
Good morning anglers,
The bluefin dissappeared on us overnight, so we’ve been on the hunt for them all day here this morning. We’re just starting to see them here now at lunchtime. We’ve managed to scrape up some quality yellowtail in the meantime. Hoping for a big afternoon here.
Captain Mike and the boys
Good evening,
We are seeing some very nice spots of 50lb bluefin and 25lb bluefin this afternoon. They are not cooperating very well at the moment but we’ve managed to scrape some up here.
Hoping for a night bite this evening.

May 22-23 Overnight (2.5 day) Offshore fishing
Good evening again anglers,
Here’s a good reason not to break down your flat fall rod on the way home. We left enough time on the way home to stop on fish if we saw it.
We stopped on some scattered fish at about 30 min before we were going to call it a trip, and they charged the boat. It was a good opportunity for those who wanted to catch a big one tonight. They were 90-120lbs and they were biting!

Good morning anglers,
The guys were tired from our day of pulling on fish all day yesterday. so we set up a drift for the night and got up at 4 and started driving around. We saw very little sign of this bluefin today–we have a handful for our morning here.
We did score some nice yellows on a kelp just before lunch. The fleet has spread out trying to find this bluefin right now.

Good evening anglers,
We had a very very long day of driving around trying to locate this bluefin. We didn’t see a school until about 5pm but it was a good one.
We unloaded on it and it stuck. They started slow then they started boiling around and biting. We have a very nice evening plunker going at the moment on 18-30lb fish.
