There were 13 Searcher passengers watching today as the crew offloaded the catch from our prior ultra limited load trip – and they were eager to board and begin their own luxury fishing vacation to Guadalupe Island!  Captain Aaron recommended heavy tackle (including 80# fluorocarbon, an 80# rod with a 2-speed reel with 100# spectra, and 4/0 circle hooks were the recommendations today) and the anglers were quick to review their gear to prep for the action he is anticipating! We will post his regular reports from the field HERE – check back daily!

The 13 passengers on the Ultra Limited Load 6-day had to show up early for check-in this morning – based on recent determination by our captains to include Guadalupe Island as a fishing destination on this trip! The excitement level was high, with many scrambling to purchase heavy test fluorocarbon for their tackle box arsenal! “Professor” Steve Carson showed up early to start the “Penn Fishing University” trip! His cart full of goodies was first in line, filled with Penn demo product, prizes, and test gear for the anglers/students on this popular annual trip!

Instead of a class syllabus, he shared a menu of prizes we will be tracking as this trip progresses! Capt Art is headed for The Ridge, they departed at 10:10 AM today, so stay tuned to the blog for updates!

Trip 24, the last Turner’s Outdoorsman-sponsored 1.5-day trip of this season, departed today under warm, sunny skies with a boat full of happy anglers ready for this exciting trip to get underway!  Turner’s reps Jason R. and Beto S. returned with another crate full of giveaways and raffle prizes for the lucky anglers!
