Hello all,
A great day of fishing for yellowfin tuna! We saw mixed sizes with some 12- pound fish up to 20-pound fish. All methods today: trolling, live bait and artificial lures worked. Everyone had a great time at the rail today. Long time Searcher customer Jose Valle from El Monte CA landed this 20 pound tuna on a live sardine, a 2/0 Owner J-Hook with 30-pound line.
Headed south tonight to look for some yellowtail.

Hello anglers: We started out with some good yellowfin tuna action this morning! We’ve caught multiple fish on the troll, but with bait fish as well. Cedar plugs and rapalas are the hot trolling lures. For live bait set-ups, we’re having success with sardines on 25 pound line and a standard 2/0 J-hook.
