Guadalupe Island Info
Guadalupe Island Trips AboardSearcher:BEFORE THE TRIP
Passengers supply our office with their passport details about a week prior to departure so our agent in Ensenada can arrange everything in advance of our arrival. Passport books OR cards are acceptable. Click here for instructions on obtaining a passport:http://travel.state.gov/passport/. It can take 4-8 weeks to receive your passport, or less if you have it expedited.
Your "Guadalupe Access Fee" includes two immigration checks in Ensenada, the US check on the return, and the required Mexican tourist visa.
TRIP DAY 1:
The boat departs late morning and arrives in Ensenada marina around dinnertime. Our Ensenada agent and immigration officials board the boat and complete paperwork with Captain Art or Aaron. This takes about 45 minutes.
The boat departs for Guadalupe Island and arrives at the island on day 2 in the afternoon, or on the offshore grounds at daylight for a day of fishing before traveling to the island.
TRIP DAY 4:
The boat leaves Guadalupe at the end of the day and travels overnight back to the offshore grounds for a morning of fishing, if warranted. We arrive in Ensenada around 9-10 p.m. for immigration check. The boat continues home to San Diego and meets the US customs officials by 7-8 a.m. The boat is usually back at Fisherman's Landing by 9 a.m.
OTHER DETAILS:
This schedule may be adjusted for stops in the offshore waters, as fishing warrants. For 6-day trips, there is an additional day at the island, or a day at another island (San Benito or Cedros, for example)
